Wanted: Mirro Canner
« on: January 02, 2018, 05:02:02 PM »
If anyone comes across an older Mirro Canner that takes the disc weight instead of the triangle rocker, please let me know.

The older models have a round disc weight with the numbers 5-10-15 around it corresponding to holes in the weight.  As long as there are no dents or cracks in it, I don't care if the canner has a few light-medium scratches, the gasket or the weight,  I've got spares, I just want another canner like that.   12 or 16 quart would be ideal, although I'll take an 8 if you come across it just be sure it uses the disc, not the round bottomed triangular shaped one with a black plastic/nylon top.

Rest assured I will travel within an hour or so of Atlanta to pick it up & reimburse you promptly if you catch one at a garage sale for me, for $20 or less.

Thanks!

I have two but one is the newer style rocker and I like the older ones better - you can't break them, whereas you can bust the wire that makes the new ones rock.
