AmRRON has changed its AmRRON Communications Network Condition Level  to 2 - Event Imminent.  Here's a link to the Activation Plan.

Most AmRRON traffic will be on 20 and 40 meters using digital modes, but the "Z" net will be heavily used as well.  At this time it does not appear that the Cajun Navy is activating, but if they do AmRRON will be working them again (as they did during Florence) to facilitate rescues.  I'll update this if the Cajun Navy activates.

If you have information, e.g. damage reports, and have internet access, please post them here; the AmRRON operators will get that passed into the net.

Mostly Open Source, either from the public-facing websites (Army) or official Facebook accounts (USAF).  The movement of A/C from Robins is from Z-net reporting.

Wow,  I woke up this morning and it is a cat 4 storm.  I am glad I made preps yesterday.  I am about 150 miles North of the Gulf.  These storms usually break up before they get here, B U T we have never seen one this strong before and the projected path is right over my location.  We are expecting to be without power for a few days.  I need to work on my chain saw this morning.

Doesn't look like much going on in Metro - but possibly as much as Irma, which was devastating.

I've got my radio on a UPS, my Ryobi camp lights all charged, and my camp generator fueled up and ready to go, if needed.

I have some family in Brantley County I tried to evacuate to my BOL, but they didn't take me up on it.

thoughts and prayers to all those in harm's way.

If you ever feel like spending money on a hurricane app (I did for the last one), I HIGHLY recommend Hurr Tracker. One of the best purchases I've ever made. The amount of info is very nearly overwhelming.

I've seen photos/videos of Mexico Beach, next to Tyndall AFB.  It looks like a lumberyard.

From AmRRON traffic:

Many hospitals in SW GA are now without power or internet.  Hospitals in middle GA are beginning to lose power.

My niece and family lost the roof to their home at Tyndall and have a tree down on the house. They evacuated to my brother-in-law's in Macon so they are all safe but they'll have a heck of a rebuild.
