I got it when it was on Kickstarter, so it was cheaper then.  I got some good basil growing in it for a while.  It works reasonably well, though I would only grow greens in it.  The grow light doesn't put out enough light for fruiting plants.

figured it was worth trying, i'd been looking at a way to grow some indoor lettuce and this seemed like it would be perfect.

Item arrived friday, put it together over the weeekend. footprint wise is about as big as a 50cal ammo can, but only 2/3rds the height. gonna pick up some seeds this week to try it out, will post results once they are available.

finally had a chance to play with this thing.
I don't see how it's hydroponic. no pump, not circulation etc
 it's more like a small wicking container, still be good for rooting cuttings but no better than a glass of water in a sunny window
glad I didn't spend 70$ for it. it's a disappointment but not enough to send it back
