step 2:
I'm collecting parts to add a pump
I found this at my local direct tools for 5 bucks
https://www.amazon.com/PowerFit-PF31089-Garden-Inlet-Filter/dp/B0171GKS1Q

and I have a spare rv pump like this
https://www.amazon.com/SHURFLO-4008-101-E65-Revolution-Water-Pump/dp/B002XM5G70/ref=pd_cp_60_1?pd_rd_w=5TwA7&pf_rd_p=ef4dc990-a9ca-4945-ae0b-f8d549198ed6&pf_rd_r=FAQ1RP7T44AAMSY31CXK&pd_rd_r=0c45e748-7990-11e9-9511-65a57d25cf2b&pd_rd_wg=KMBfB&pd_rd_i=B002XM5G70&psc=1&refRID=FAQ1RP7T44AAMSY31CXK

I'll probably wire it with alligator clips or a cigarette plug and mount the pump and filter into a small box so it's portable instead of mounting it to my truck

added a free piece of scrap carpet in the bed of the truck, an 8gallon pvc roof top water tank. painted black for solar hot/warm water, an air compressor to blow water out of my tank or fill tires

also working on one of these, not sure if it'll be done for the camp
