Background check sites?
« on: September 02, 2019, 05:46:05 PM »
Anyone use a background check service you like? Don't like? Compared multiple ones? Most thorough? Best value?

Want to make sure I'm getting a good one before I pay.

I know this is old, but I have a thought about these things.  I think the ones that pop up on the computer first are all rip-offs.  Years ago, I paid for one to check out a horse trainer that I felt wasn't who or what he said he was.  The information was useless.
Recently I googled myself.  The sites came up with some of my relatives, but named some that I am no relation to.  The most disturbing thing is that one made me look like I had a police record, which you could see, when you paid the fee.  I have never been arrested in my life.....Not even in the 60's, which is sort of sad.....
Sometimes it is better to go with your instincts.  Listen between the lines....
