Black beans and rice

My doctor recently told me to go on a Mediteranian diet.  That is a lot of fish, frit and nuts.  So for supper this evening we are having fish.  I suggested black beans & rice.  She said she was going to boil some cabbage that needed to be used up.  I said do both.  She did what she usually does when she does not have a recipe.  She found one on the internet.  I wanted her to fix black beans & rice because I have black beans in #10 cans and rice stored in mason jary sealed with a vacuum sealer.
