Hi All!
I just joined your forum today. I do not consider myself a prepper but I am conscientious. I do prepare for short term needs for my family. I am a part time nurse and a stay at home mom. I have medical and home making skills and continue to find opportunities to learn new skills.

Welcome from Region 3 North. We have a great group of people here.

Hi there, also in region # (Spalding Co.). One easy way to prep food...store what you eat and eat what you store....With kids, that should be easy. If you have time to do home canning, and dehydrating... all the healthier should the power go down. As a nurse, you know the medical needs to have on hand. Maybe you even do some natural healing. Our kids are all grown, but I remember preparing for the grandkids years back. It was a lot of work, with growing kids. Glad you are here and thinking about this stuff....

Seriously??? Region 4??? I met someone on this site that is not that far from me, in Spalding and she said she is in region 3. She has been on this site for many years. Where do I go to check my location??? Thanks for the heads up and I will double check. Good to know where the heck you are! I am not ever sure how to post an introduction on here.... :( Notice this post is on Saturday night, we have such an active social life. Put the chickens to bed and we are next....

Got ya...O.K. I am a region 4, trying to sneak into region three, as I am very close, so can I be a 4/3?. I can ride a bike that far!
-
@Abigayle....don't feel bad about that at all. There are several here that literally live on the borders of two regions. I live in Manchester which is in Meriwether County and we are literally on the line of Talbot County. Manchester actually has addresses in Talbot County and we supply half of Talbot Countys water as well. Me personally As I said I live in Manchester but I spend more time in Talbot County at my BoL. So I claim Region 4 and Region 8. Dual citizenship if you will. So no worries......its all good!

Not a problem. Any one is welcome at any meeting. I'm in 5 and attend meeting in 2 & 3 when I can.

Thanks Bounty Hunter, you have eased my sense of embarrassment. Sure wish there were more #4's on this site. It is pretty lonely out this way. I have found one person, or I should say that she found me, so that is better!

Abigayle, if you are in Spalding County then Ravenwood1950 is your friend. She is a good lady and she has a bundle of knowledge that you might want to get into. But, you are not alone in Region 4.........
