Always wanted a big bore "hand cannon" but never could justify $1000+ for a gun I had no practical use for. The 454 Casull is about 80% of a 460 for half the price. The next lowest price I found was $583, with the average around $700.

No thank you! I took the opportunity to fire this one.... Never again... don't want to see it... don't want to touch it.... it was worse than the S&W 500 MAG.

I didn't think it was that bad. I test fired it once with some trepidation, and was pleasantly surprised. I got the longer one. For something that's almost entirely a range gun, I thought about the stubby for a more impressive light show, but settled on the full length as having some slim chance of practicality (hiking amongst bears?)
It's so heavy and so well ported, I didn't find it brutal. I could see getting through two cylinders maybe, before moving on.
