A guy at church Sunday asked me if I wanted any pecans.  Said he had some extra.  I told him yes that I traded blueberries for pecans.  He said Oh yeah, you did give me some blueberries a while back.  I will bring you some pecans.  Build up those connections now....

Florida hospital takes entire IT systems offline after 'ransomware attack'
Posted: February 7, 2023 by Jovi Umawing

Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare (TMH), a major hospital system in northern Florida, has reportedly been experiencing an "IT security issue" since Thursday evening, which impacted some of its IT systems. When TMH learned of the issue, it took its entire IT systems offline as a precaution and contacted law enforcement.

In a news post on its website, the hospital says it's making progress managing the security incident while it continues to operate under IT system downtime protocols, which includes the use of old fashion pen and paper.

Yes the restaurant industry is in trouble and it’s going to get worse.  Most people are living week to week and run out of money after 5 days.  I’ve been to 3 restaurants in the past 2 years, Wendy’s for their 5 for $5 when traveling.  Local Mexican restaurant for lunch as my wife and I can have lunch, beer included and get out for about $23.00.  Last one is Chinese takeout and it’s just fried rice and egg rolls for about $12.00.  Those are the only places where I don’t get angry about the pricing.  I look at the Wendy’s menu and they have combo meals at $10.00!  Better yet try going to a fried chicken restaurant and get a “Family Meal Deal” for $26.00, really🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️!  I can get 8 pieces of chicken at Kroger for $9.00 and make my own sides!  Forget going to a steakhouse!  A 13 Oz ribeye at outback is $28.00 so with drinks, any extra stuff and tip you are looking at $80.00 minimum for a steak dinner out for 2.  Heck, I’ve got friends that go to Waffle House for breakfast and they told me they pay $15.00 before all is said and done and that’s just 1 person!

More and more people are “brown bagging” it and if I was a traveler I sure would be missing all the roadside parks we used to have!😎. Yep the restaurant industry is in deep trouble along with all the jobs they produce.

One suggestion, eat a smaller steak.  Thor and I go to Texas Road House and can both get a meal with sides for $14.00 each.  If you are retired, you can go at four and save money.  Now, it has been about a month, so maybe the prices are up.  Like you, we eat at home more.
Prices at Kroger are really up.  They did have a special for 8.25 Lb. for Ribeye roast.  If I had gotten one, I would have asked the butcher to cut them into one inch ribeye steaks.  We are try to use up one freezer, clean it out and start over.
The issue of countries leaving the dollar are coming up on a more regular basis.  Those wanting to calm the waters are proclaiming that while the dollar "ain't what it used to be", it's still the best game in town.  We will see.  China is gathering up countries that have had enough of the U.S., but will they trust the currency of a country that constantly pads it's financial worth to the world?  We will see.

Kroger and Publix has ribeye roast on sale for $6.99 this week.  We are going to get 2 and have them cut into steaks😎!

Southern California Ports Close Due to Labor Shortage Amid Union Contract Negotiations, Disrupting Global Supply Chain
Los Angeles and Long Beach ports closed for the second day in a row on Friday due to a labor shortage.

40% of the nation’s foreign goods arrive to the United States to these two ports in Southern California.

Union workers at both ports are currently in talks for a new contract.

Just had a stray thought . Remember the railroad strike talk last year  . They were told to take what we are giving yo and shutup . Now we are having train derailment every time we turn around . Related? I don't know but it is a thought .

Josh Sigurdson: Closures of fast food chains signal looming global STARVATION
Several fast food chains are declaring bankruptcy and closing both dining locations and corporate offices across the country due to “under-performance” brought about by economic uncertainties. For World Alternative Media‘s (WAM) Josh Sigurdson, this is a sign of worse things to come.
“If the food that the poorest people can afford no matter how bad it is goes down, the next step is leading to the collapse of even the largest food corporations. It gets to the point where there is starvation,” he said. “We’re at this point where we will be getting food rations with mRNA … and I think this is a very dangerous precedent.”
“Humanity is based on individualism and freedom, but the end goal is to starve you out. So you’re dependent on them by bankrupting [you] and going after your money – so that you accept CBDCs [central bank digital currencies]. And there comes the Great Reset.”

Was traveling and stopped at a Burger King on Tuesday.  I was shocked at the prices!  A “Value Meal” cost $8.95 total…. I sat looking at the menu and most if not all of their combo meals were over $11.00!  With tax it’s over $12.00.  Yes a lot more will be going out of business at those prices.  I also noticed all of the Waffle Houses that I passed the parking lots were empty.   It’s going to get worse before it gets much worse!!!

This past Tuesday was my shopping day. Some of you know that I live kinda out there and my primary grocery shopping takes place around 30 miles from home. So I only do major grocery shopping every two weeks. This involves keeping a running shopping list. Since I already have the shopping list, I also track prices. For about a month, it had kinda seemed like inflationary increases had stagnated. I had not really noticed any new price jumps in items.

And then Tuesday happened. As I was shopping at my first stop, I noticed price increases on an estimated 70 to 80% of items on my list. There were a few items that were up 20% since two weeks ago. Prices were fairly stable at the commissary, however shelf stock was WAY down. Additionally, this was the fourth shopping trip where the commissary did not have any MREs. I normally pick up one or two every two weeks because the commissary gets them directly from the manufacturer. The shelf space is still there, but they’ve been out for 8 weeks. If they have none in two weeks, I’m gonna ask the manager why.
Trust, but verify. Russian proverb

TREASON: Biden regime coordinating with Mexican government to secretly facilitate mass illegal migrant INVASION
Initially, it was thought that Joe Biden’s open border policies were bad enough in contributing to a record number of migrants crossing into the U.S. illegally during his term thus far, but it turns out there’s much more to it.
In fact, according to a revealing report published this week, the Biden regime has actually been coordinating with the Mexican government to send migrants over into the U.S. by the tens of thousands.

“In recent days, large crowds of immigrants have formed on the Mexican side of the Rio Grande fully prepared to swim over well-worn crossing spots to Brownsville – but seemingly held back by unarmed Mexican immigration officials,” the Center for Immigration Studies said in its report.

They couldn't find enough people in the U.S. to take care of?  How about homeless Vets with mental health issues, living on the streets?  Maybe they could throw in some help for kids that fell so far behind in COVID.  Many were left home alone at tender ages, since the parent had to work two jobs to keep a roof over their heads.  Or, gee, wouldn't it be nice to have some state run dental clinics run by new grads, who need a little student loan relief....same thing with medical clinics.  We can't seem to take care of our own now.  I am not a socialist; paid off my student loan.  It took me ten years.  I did get some free money, but it was an earned scholarship.  I was blessed to be able to work that hard.  Not everyone can.  Not everyone is heathy, or in good mental condition.
I watched these immigrates coming over for some time now.  I know you have as well. Many have better clothes and shoes than we do.  Some of those haircuts are not cheap.  Name brand backpacks are everywhere.  They don't appear to be starving;  Some weigh 300 lbs, dressed out.  They didn't walk here in those white soled shoes.  Send most back to fix their own countries problems.  We were not able to fix ours before they got here and this is not going to help.  There is so much wrong with this, not to mention the increase of crime and the sense of entitlement we already see.  But nobody has the guts to protest, because we would be unfeeling human beings.
