I can't believe that an 8 oz can of baking powder, aluminum free, is $10 at Walmart!! Is this the going price now??
That's crazy!

Four-twenty nine for fourteen ounces, Bobs Red Mill on VitaCost.  If you sign up you get 30% off your first purchase and free shipping if you spend over fifty.  At 30%, their flour (Bob's) is a good price.  There our other brands, with no aluminum on the site as well.  Check out their close outs.
There are lots of reviews for most items.  I use the baking soda, baking powder, pastry flour, bread flour, liners for muffins (organic paper) and many other items, but I wait for 20% off. Thirty right now for new accounts is great.

Glad I prepped pounds of baking soda and cream of tarter so I can make my own baking powder up until the time I turn 122 years old…

2 teaspoons cream of tarter and one teaspoon baking soda yields 1 tablespoon or 3 teaspoons baking powder.

I also read this article that calls for 1/2 teaspoon cream of tarter + 1/4 teaspoon baking soda = 1 teaspoon baking powder.  I guess you can read these 2 articles and determine which is best for you?

I ordered the cream of tarter 4 years ago and it was $6.00 less than it is now but it’s $20.00 for a 2 pound bag which will make a lot of baking powder.  The storage for each item is indefinite since the active ingredients are not combined until ready to use.  Personally I think the 1/2 to 1/4 makes more sense because it doesn’t have any other ingredients.  This is also aluminum free😎!  I bought 6 pounds of the tarter because I know in a SHTF world biscuits and cobblers will be a staple in my diet.  Let’s face it, we need some fun foods like cobblers and cookies in our diets, not to mention they add calories.  Rice and beans are a great start to prepping but I want a lot more variety.  Below is the Amazon link for the bulk cream of tarter since buying small amounts is cost prohibitive 🤔🤷‍♂️…

Yep, I bought the same supplies back when you did too, just forgot that they made the ingredient I wanted. I will write out the instructions and pin to the ingredients, many thanks.
