Live line demo
« on: August 15, 2015, 03:43:18 PM »
The company I work for gives this demonstration to show people the dangers of electricity.
I have worked this demo several times, (although, I am not in this video)
It may give a few insights on a few of the dangers.
I thought it would fit in the power and energy section.

Just so you know, and for the record, you do stuff with electricity.  You are bone crazy.  It can get you, bad and you cannot see it until it is too late.  Thats how it works.

Bone solid crazy for doing that.

Nemo; Even though it is deadly and invisible, electricity still generally follows a certain set of rules. Follow those rules and you are generally safe.
The ones who have it rough are the men in blue, our officers. They have to deal with people every bit as dangerous, but less predictable.
I'll take dealing with 7200 or 14400 volts over a jacked up crackhead.

Yeah it does follow hard line rules and if you do also you should be good.  Until its sneaky and jumps out of the box or sky or goes static on you.

I will do the crackhead, I can see him.

We had some guys in here doing the high wire stuff on the BIG lines.  Scary just to think about it.
