Hello to all SEPN Georgia Members and Georgia Region 6 Members!
Hoping that all are doing well and still have your "GAME ON" as far as your "preps" for you and your family go!-- MANY, many "unexpected situations" can still happen now after this recent election season so I urge everyone to please still keep your heads on a swivel and as like the old Boy Scout motto states: Be Prepared!
As for our October 26th meeting here for Region 6 on the topic:
"Evacuation Of Your A.O.(Area of Operation): Do I Stay Or Do I Go --And What DO I Do And What Do I Need To Have In Place To Plan For Both"?
It was most defiantly a very lively, timely, and very informative meeting indeed!!
We started the meeting by viewing a 10 minute Youtube video by "Sensible Prepper" AKA "Sootch00" concerning his views on this issue as an "opener"-- and boy, the discussion for us began!!
We had folks at this meeting who had lived in various parts of the Southeast and other areas in the U.S. and it was amazing to hear their perspectives on lessons learned on how they had to deal with natural disasters and the aftermath !!
GREAT lessions and GREAT advice was exchanged between all and I believe everyone who participated learned QUITE alot more about this subject--I sure know that I DID!! THANKS SO MUCH TO ALL!!
I also had printed informational "hand-outs" to pass along to others present from the website of FEMA and other preparedness websites on their recommendations concerning this issue as well.
As I have mentioned in many past posts concerning the Georgia Region 6 monthly meetings, we are so very BLESSED to have such GREAT active members and participants. All of our members are an “exceptional wealth of knowledge” and are “true experts” on such a very wide variety of preparedness topics – BAR NONE!
We all have been TRULY BLESSED to have such a WONDERFUL place here at Uncle Sam’s Surplus to hold our monthly meetings! The staff at USS have always provided EXCELLENT SUPPORT in the past for our SEPN Georgia Region 6 meetings! They have ALWAYS gone “above and beyond the call of duty” to assist us in any way concerning our meeting needs with any equipment or class presentation items in their stock for our use! They are without a doubt #1 in customer service!
Much thanks go out again to Alex, Shelby, Nick, Clint, --and all of the USS crew for your continued support of us and our monthly meetings there! YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!
As for our November 23rd monthly meeting, this is our "Holiday Season Pot-Luck Luncheon / 2024 Year's End Get Together"
At this time, we discuss overall how Region 6 and our 2024 meetings and topics went and were received by all who participated. We also discuss possible 2025 scheduled meeting topics for discussion, ideas for "training sessions" outside of scheduled monthly meetings, and ways to better get the word out about us here in Region 6 and what we are we are doing--and get everyone's ideas and input on what we, as a group, would like to see and do in 2025!
After that is done--we fellowship, and ---WE EAT!
By the way, EXCELLENT chefs and cooks are to be "plentiful" at this meeting as well!
There is NO scheduled meeting planned for December 2024---as our regularly scheduled monthly meeting date falls very close to Christmas-- and most folks will be away during that time being with family and friends.
But all,-- rest assured that Region 6 meetings will resume back on January 25th, 2025--Lord willing!
Wishing all a VERY Blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas Season!! Be SAFE!!
Please continue to watch us here in Region 6 concerning all of our future happenings!!!
Take care all and God Bless!
KEEP ON PREPPING!!!
