Good haul today!
It started off as an inquiry about a free, working water heater. How awesome would it be to have a backup DIY water heater on site? I didn't hold my breath because I saw the ad was a day old, and Marketplace freebies usually go in a matter of seconds. But I dropped a line.
Got the water heater, 2 ACs, a range hood microwave, space heater, several fans, fireproof panels and some light fixtures.
All of those are fine preps. I also got a huge electrical panel I'll probably use for locking storage, and a kitchen sink and commercial mop & bucket I'll use in the bunker, which I'm literally in the middle of adding plumbing to.
Apparently the reason there wasn't a huge clamor for his stuff was he used a newish free stuff site that's not very popular. He literally "couldn't give stuff away". It's called 'Trash Nothing". There's not a lot on there in my area, but conversely, you don't have to fight over it. May be worth checking out.
