Local source for fish antibiotics?
« on: January 16, 2016, 10:45:30 PM »
OK OK, I was "getting to it".

It's always the ones you're "going to do" that wind up biting you in the butt.

Help save me a trip to the dentist!

I've looked online at Petsmart and Tractor supply - no go - even went to a specialty fish store - nope.

Where do you get these besides online? amazon has some on Prime, but they're out of stock - ugh!.

You can get them at Petsmart in the store. Thinking I saw them at Tractor Supply as well. I just saw some on Amazon though

The Tractor Supply down here routinely has them in stock.  Locked case back in the horse stuff area.

And who better to know where the fish antibiotics are than Nemo?

Petsmart was a no.

Don't know if I can make it to Tractor  Supply today.

I really really don't want to go to the dentist. And it's not like I'm even neglecting my dental health. I've got an appointment with a specialist in February. A perdiodopterist? I just don't want to make a special trip so I can hear what an awful human I am for developing a small dental issue after half a century.

The name of the fish place I went to was Nemo's. Of course I came away disappointed.

Lilburner,
Get yourself to the dentist post hast, it is so important to take care of our teeth now while we have access to a dentist! It could turn into an abcess and make you septic.

No on Petco.

For the same $50 for the out of stock ones on Amazon I found some I can have 2-day aired.

Irksome, because I see them going for like $15 on eBay.

In the meantime I'll just keep doing what I'm doing - pretty much hourly some combination of brushing, Listerine, and/or saltwater.

Learn from my mistake!

Hey with the fishmitation bouncing out there, I have pliers.  And will be very pleased to resolve that issue for you no problem.

In the mean time clove oil and or arnica pills for the pain. Clove is also antiseptic. Oregano infusion (and essential oil) is a powerful antibiotic.

Those work well.  But in your situation, I would recommend my pliers or gin.  Gin does great.  Alcohol and Juniper berry juice.  Don't get much better.

OK I should have some on Wednesday. Just got the tracking.

Right now I seem to be holding it down with constant cleaning - brushing, listerine, and warm salt water flushing. It's actually receding a bit. I have a huge workday to get ready for court tomorrow, but if I pop out I'll get some clove oil. What do you do with it exactly? Also is it at the drug store with Oragel and such?

Actually I'm on the same schedule as before, so I haven't lost a lot of time. Pain on Saturday, call on Monday, drugs on wWednesday.

Hopefully the periogoncolist will fix it for good.

I think you can buy some already diluted but I've never seen it anywhere except a health food / herb store. I dilute clove essential oil with olive oil and test it on on my lip until I get it to the right ratio that I like. I just rub/drop it on the affected area.

Salt water rinses are great for killing a host of bacteria. I had one dentist (the best dentist I ever saw) that prescribed that rather than script mouth washes. So it's good you're doing that. I meant to say something about it before.
