I welcome thoughts on his recent videos. What do you think he is preparing for?
How cohesive a group are we?

Not very.  I consider us a loose association.........  A cohesive group would be a prepper compound and the surrounding inhabitants.  JMO

I echo RWS said about our group. But I think people need both types of groups.... A close knit one and an association with others. That way you have contacts all around to help with information, trading, or a floor for a night, etc.

I would say, as edgy as he is right now, he plans on needing those skills soon, for reasons already discussed.  He makes some good points regarding on everyone is a trigger, although they should be.  A Renaissance man (woman) is of much more value to themselves and those around them.  We need skills!  Skills take time.  Start today!  We are working on producing more light and heat this week.
This morning, we told the rescue that we will take the newest member of our family, for adoption.  Max, a 90 pound German Sheperd will be joining our little team soon.  We are looking forward to it.  Right now, we could use a support dog, just to hug!
