That is how I got a lot of my tower.  I once took down 3ea 100 ft towers on the same property.  I quit climbing when I turned 65 yrs old.  It does tone up the mussels though.  I am now using the used tower to put up a GoTenna network for my community.

I know a professional tower climber and he won't mess with "free you take down towers"
Usually more trouble than they are worth, usually bolts rusted or base. He said he used to look at these and no longer. Said so many were unsafe he wouldn't risk it. I don't blame him.
