That is $50 more than the black friday price on the Harbor Freight gen but this has the wheel kit and is duel fuel also.

I have been pondering over this one myself. For what it may be worth to you, Walmart also has this item for sale for $999.00. I don't know how long that might last.

That's where I got my Champion, and it was refurbed as well. In the generator world, "refurbed" means someone bought it for a power outage and returned it, then the authorized dealer goes through it and makes sure it's like new. They have full warranties. I've had my refurb Champion since 2013, and it hasn't missed a beat.

I have a DuroMax Gen that I bought and used when I had the trees fall on my M H and I ran it a lot in the couple of weeks of that ordeal. I am looking for something that I can run my whole M H on. I live on the east side of Lake Sinclair and we have problems with occasional extended power outages.

Check your local Tractor Supply for returned Champions. We find them every few months that "won't run" and buy them cheep.
The Champions have a low oil shutoff and they don't ship with oil. So many folks try to use them without reading the owners manual, get frustrated, and return them for another brand.
Other times we've had to but new carburetors because the cheep gas has eaten away the seals. Only put ethanol free gas in your generators and other gas powered equipment. I've seen how sitting with regular fuel will eat away the rubber in a mower.
