If you haven't seen SouthernPrepper1's video this morning food grade buckets have jumped $1 since yesterday. I spoke with a guy from Coke and asked why there was no Power-Aid on the shelf, he told me there was a plastics shortage. If you need the buckets get them now.

I know this is an old post, but I wanted to comment on it. Right now, food grade buckets are selling for more than the rice and beans, etc. etc. that people may want to store in them.
I put two long term storage items in my cart, or Amazon, and by the time I checked out, the next day (I know, I know). One had gone up a dollar and the other two dollars. This was nine hours later folks.
Additives to put in your homemade bread to make them lighter have gone up five dollars since February.
If you do home canning, and can find anything you like to eat and can, or if this is the time you are motivated to start, look around. Every now and then there is a good deal out there, to drag you into the store. Dishwasher detergent is way up there, as is laundry detergent. Get on line and find a recipe for these as well, if you have not done so. They store well in gallon jar. Have a good food grater, as they are needed for bars of soap, like zote Fels Naptha..Tiny House sells a small hand washing machine. Very nice people, good product. We will all be lost without our commercial sized wash machines. Washing without power is a lesson all of its own. Yes, I digress.
