Title: MrBeans
Post by: 8greenbeans on November 04, 2020, 10:37:14 AM
So MrBeans just tested positive for covid. He hasn't been feeling well for a couple days after doing football games in bad weather but no fever. Assumption of sinus infection like he has every single year. Last night he was 101.2 So he went to get abx this morning. They did flu and covid test on him. He does have sinus infection but they won't treat that til covid gone 😒

Remember Quinine works ie Hydroxychloroquine.  The earlier the better!  Take a zink pill also.  Drink Tonic water & fruit juice & lots of it, just sip & sip.

So I have him on:
5000 mg D3 (doc said 1-2000)
5000 mg vitamin c (doc said 500 mg)
1 zimax (doc said 75-100 mg)
1 aspirin
2 fish mox
and washing it all down with tonic water mixed with colloidal silver

I gotta treat his sinus infection, too. I have bark to extract the quinine so I need to get busy on that.

Yes.  Because 5 days   after he had his first symptoms it is your turn next !!  It would not hurt to start the kids on tonic water also.

Colloidal Silver has worked well over the years for our family.  We have used it several times and make our own. Zinc is good, but more is not better. Of course bone broth is a good drink for sinus as well.  Grandma's penicillin.  Hope he is doing well.  We are all pulling for him

Yep I'm already on it. Taking the same prophylactically, minus sinus infection meds, for myself. No kids here and the Bean1 family won't listen to me ... unless they get sick. Dad and Cousin are happy enough to be quarantined away from us and using thieves oil ... Dad is also on therapeutic levels of D3 also and has been for years. Dad will take things if I take it to him, cousin won't, but I gotta be careful of that.

Thank you Abigayle for the bone broth reminder. I think I need that for my sinus issues right now.

RWS, I had meant to say that MrBeans won't drink water so we are fully stocked on Gatorade. He drinks on it all day and I'm now mixing it with the tonic water so he will drink it without whining lol

My Dad had a fever last night, so we are headed to the VA to get him tested today. He feels tired and it was a struggle to get uphill from the mailbox yesterday - normally he has no issues with that. But he didn't tell me that until he wanted me to take his temperature at 9pm.

8 Beans, Hoping your dad got a good report.  I am sure you all are really worried about him.  Yesterday a friend sent a video from a Dr. on "p r on ing my computer keeps changing it to ironing so I broke it up.  It is a position to help drain the heavy fluid off the lungs.  He says there is all kinds of information on it, to just google it.
I noticed the pictures in hospital showed patients face down.  That would be difficult for any length of time, I am sure.

Well Dad felt better with no fever this morning so declined to go get tested. I awoke with no fever. Later my coughing got worse and I was stopped up.  MrBeans is totally recovered. I used my inhaler cause I had asthma cough. Later I noticed Dad coughing just a little bit. So made him use the inhaler. Then he tells me his temperature has been going up and down all day. I got on to him for not keeping me apprised of every change. I gotta say though that he looked and sounded perfectly normal all day long. He even went to the mailbox and back without issue. So that's good. His cough is completely gone while I have a little bit of one. Then again I'm drinking mullein, slippery elm, and cleavers tea so I'm breaking up any congestion going on. Gonnaneedtocough to remove it. I'll sleep with eucalyptus diffusing tonight again as that got things moving last night.

PS Abigayle, I sleep prone most of the time (not on purpose lol I just find myself there). I know they were proning our doctor friend when he was in ICU for 56 days. It did him a world of good. But I didn't even think of it until you posted. I'll be sure to tell Dad to try sleeping on his stomach tonight.

Great news on the Bean family.  Proning involves bringing your knees up some.  He demonstrates it on line.  This elevates the base of the lungs so they can drain better.  Did you make the tea or order it?  I am assuming that slippery elm comes off the tree, maybe I am mistaken.  I will check my herbal medicinal books, since this is all new for me.  I grew and dried some horehound this year, then my plants died.  I had better start some more in the greenhouse.

Abigayle, yes, it's slippery elm bark. I do just make it in a tea. It's for soothing the throat from all this coughing. Marshmallow root can be used the exact same way as they are both muciligenic. The mullein is lung support and cleavers keep the lymphatic system flowing.
I have got to get better with growing more of these herbs both in the greenhouse and in the house, too.
