Hello to all SEPN Georgia and Georgia Region 6 members!
Hello all!! Hope that you are staying as cool as possible and staying well hydrated thus far into our summer season!! Sounding like a broken record now-- but we STILL have QUITE ALOT of "happenings" going on all around us and multiple situations and events locally, nationally, and world-wide now and appear to be changing and evolving rapidly “every hour” it seems!---- so keep your heads always on a swivel---and STAY VIGILANT!
We had our Region 6 June scheduled meeting on the 28th. Attendance was surprisingly good for us at this meeting—especially since it was on the Saturday before the 4th of July when a lot of folks are away for vacation during this time!
Our presentation topic for this meeting was “The Basics Of Spinning Fiber” and it was led by one of our own Region 6 members who was introduced to this subject a while back and wanted to share her knowledge and experiences with all of us thus far her “fiber-spinning” endeavor.
She had several videos that she made available for viewing on our video monitor and also brought some accessories / tools that are also used in the “spinning process“ as well. She explained to us in much more detail about certain processes and actions of spinning fiber during various parts of the video presentations. –OUTSTANDING JOB!! 😊
She even brought her personal Lithuanian spinning wheel—that was hand - made back in the 1800’s for “show and tell” too!
After attending this presentation--and seeing first-hand all the steps and processes that go into spinning fiber to make thread. I now have a much deeper appreciation concerning all types fibers and spinning of fibers and my hat’s is off to all of our “Fore-Fathers and Mothers”!! 😊
THANKS to all who were present and participated in this session--I and I know some others here in Region 6 look forward to a “future update presentation“ concerning our presenters progress as she continues to pursue this endeavor!
As I have mentioned in many past posts here concerning the Georgia Region 6 monthly meetings, we are so VERY BLESSED to have such GREAT active members and participants. All of our members are an “exceptional wealth of knowledge” and are “true experts” on a very wide variety of preparedness topics – BAR NONE! It's YOU--Region 6 members, that make our monthly meetings what they are! THANK-YOU!
We all have been TRULY BLESSED to have such a WONDERFUL place here at Uncle Sam’s Surplus to hold our monthly meetings! The staff at USS have always provided EXCELLENT SUPPORT for our SEPN Georgia Region 6 meetings. They have gone “above and beyond the call of duty” to assist us in any way concerning our meeting needs with any equipment or class presentation items in their stock for our use! They are without a doubt #1 in customer service!
A BIG THANK-YOU goes out to Alex, Shelby, Nick, Clint, and the rest of the USS crew for your continued support of us and our monthly meetings. YOU ALL ARE AWESOME!
