How about this for a starter snare set?

Trust me, if you haven't beeen to Farside's trapping class, once you have, you're going to want to get started right away.

In the class I went to he mentioned a set at Gander Mtn, but I don't see it online and it's not day-to-day driving distance for me, so I've been looking for a good starter set.

Any thoughts on this one?

That would be a good set up for your BOB. I didn't check the weight but I'd guess about a pound or so.

You can check your local ace hardware for trapping items also.The douglasville location has a trapping section that I buy my Duke spring traps. Never payed attention to if they have snares but I will look next time I go by there.
