"Maker Faires"
« on: December 18, 2016, 02:13:57 PM »
I stumbled across this while looking for something else, and upon reading a little it seemed like a natural prepper/homesteader event.  Evidently the Maker Faires feature all sorts of vendors and exhibits for tinkering and DIY projects, and there are a few in the area.

The biggest one around here is in Atlanta (naturally) in October, but there are smaller ones in Columbia, SC, Charlotte, NC, Chattanooga, TN, etc which seem to be mostly in the springtime.

If victorious, we will have everything to hope for in the future. If defeated, nothing will be left for us to live for.”

there have been several events like this in the past in the spring and they always seem to be on the same weekend as the spring campout.

The Maker Faire is really trendy with the tech sector in Atlanta. It is put on by Make magazine, hence the name of the event. It's a fun intersection of DIY and technology.
