nylon upgrayyedds :

flashing an ender

oldest ender3:

all other ender 3:

editing the max temp for the hotend:
set it 15 degrees higher than the max temp you want
this accounts for the 15 degree overshoot in the software
stock ender max temp is 260, but you can see the max is 275 in the vid.
I didn't know and had to do it twice
https://youtu.be/ire4ZcAUsjA?t=433

hotend I used, but lots of guys use the 8$ china hotend and it works

dryer I bought:
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B097BCG69C
but you can dryi in a toaster over or food dehydrator and store in plastic box with descant

glass bed for nylon, I used a 3$ piece of glass from the hardware store

enclosure - I hear it's not needed for some filament but helps stabilize temps and reduce warping
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B093H1J46W

harden nozzle, I'm using a cheap .6 - most guys recommend name brand to avoid CQ issues and improve print quality
I bumped up to a .6 to reduce clogging issues some carbon and glass filled filaments have
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08TTHS37V

cheaper nylon that I ordered to experiment with and tune the machine
https://www.amazon.com/Polymaker-Industrial-Filament-PolyMide-Reinforced/dp/B07S7QBQ3G
nylon recommended by AWCY gun developer group - same as duponts zytel which is no longer sold
https://coex3d.com/products/black-coexnylex-glassfilled-nylon

full disclosure, I haven't printed any nylon
I'm still tuning the printer on cheap pla to get as dialed in as I can before I start burning through expensive nylon
there's lots of options get into nylon, this is just what I found and decided to run so far

First off, that twelve year old kid needs to turn the music off on  in the beginning of the video.  I climbed the wall, ran the ceiling, and came down the opposite wall.
Always wonder how these things would fit.
Thor and I spent three hours putting together a fancy can stand for our "free kitten", to discourage it from using the furniture as a scratching post.  Doubt that we will be making one of these anytime soon.  Too bad he couldn't or didn't show what type of vision it offers in real time.
