Downhill slide speeds up

I honestly did not think it would happen. I may not be a smart man, but I know what inflation is. The congress passed the “Inflation Reduction Act” and I’m sitting here wondering just how it will reduce inflation. Anyone can see that enacting a minimum 15% tax on corporations alone is going to cause higher prices on the tail end. The further demonizing of fossil fuels is going to hurt the majority of average Americans by increased energy cost across the board (gas, fuel, electricity, heating oil, etc.). Don’t get me wrong. I’m all for finding alternatives to fossil fuels. It is a finite resource after all. But until people like Stanley Meyers are allowed to develop “out of the box” energy alternatives, we aren’t going anywhere.
So here we are, the advance of the collapse just sped up. Buckle up guys, the rides gonna get even more bumpy.

No it isnt. Folks have been saying that since GA prep. Never happens. Our corporate overlords will just find another way around instead of paying their fair share of taxes for the infrastructure they use.
But keep defending the corporations. That's going real well for the US. The US has the highest GDP by strong lead, with the best corporate profit margins in the world, yet somehow companies can't afford to pay taxes like the rest of us?
It's real simple, if a company can't pay a competent wage and pay the taxes that fund US infrastructure, it doesn't belong here.
The problem isn't taxes. Taxes are just a tool. The problem is Greed, in corporations and in government toads who corruptly handle our taxes.
Our country is ironically becoming More stable. Mostly because we've let left and right wing politicians hold the populations in predictable patterns of restrictive, But profitable, poverty.

Alrighty then. Not sure what world you are living in, but I’d sure like to be there. Yes, people are greedy. 99.99999% of the population of the world has a degree of greed. As a prepper, you prove that (unless you plan on sharing your preps with everyone who didn’t prep). Greed is human nature and the reason communism can never work on a large scale.

Greed has also led to nation changing events, do you really think our nation’s industrialist built this country’s infrastructure for the sole betterment of this great land? No, if there was no money to be made, the transcontinental railway would never have been built, oil refining development would never have happened, mass production of affordable cars would never had taking place and numerous others. When corporations make money, they are providing jobs, products and services that we all take advantage of. So, do I support corporate America? Hell yes! Do I agree with all business practices? Absolutely not. But I love my truck, I love my grid power and yes, I love the things that living in a capitalist society has afforded me.

what ever the name of the act says, it does the opposite

the larger the act is and the faster it's rammed through, the more true that statement is

the act makes the IRS the largest govt agency, so priorities

crony capitalism is not capitalism
it's fraud

also taxes are theft
actually it's theft with the threat of force, so it's robbery
taxes fund abortion
taxes fund unending war that benefits greedy crony capitalist oil and MIC companies
taxes fund gain of function in wuhan labs, god knows what they fund ukrainian medical "research centers"
taxes are not funding our infrastructure
our bridges crumble under their own weight
our power grid has rolling blackouts, but buy an electric car?
taxes don't educate our children
the US has slipped further and further behind since the creation of the dept of ed
schools let kids act like cats and hold drag queen indoctrination hour
schools fire teachers who recognize and accept basic biology by refusing to use incorrect pronouns

why did we suspend the gas taxes ?
was it lower prices ?

they should have increased gas taxes by 15%, not suspended them ?

Didn't we just send millions of dollars to some African country for a "gender study"?  We have not wasted enough money here on that nonsense, we have to send it to other countries as well?  We have brought this on ourselves by not holding politicians accountable.
I agree with Benny.  Large corps. carry this country.  We just need to keep them at home.  Anyone out there who wants their medications made in China?  They are funding the fentanyl coming through Mexico, to the advantage of the Cartel, that has destroyed everything beautiful in their own country.
Thor could not get a certain blood test done this week because they can't get the purple vials.
Spending money on gain of function and the networks won't carry a word about it.  When will they wake up and understand the some people's only education is through network tv?  That alone, is a very sad state of affairs!
I don't mind our money going to planned parenthood.  Many of their organizations are just that...planned parenthood; helping young people learn how to take care of themselves so they are not finding out that they are in a predicament that they are in no way ready to deal with. I am referring to help with birth control, not late term abortions.

I worked with a “gentleman” that was quite liberal.  During the Obama years when he raised taxes we had a discussion.  My point was that throughout the history of this nation whenever we raised taxes the revenue went down and whenever we lowered taxes the revenue went up, proven fact.  His response was, “it’s not about revenue it’s about fairness…”. Whenever people start using “fairness” in their discussions of taxes they show their true socialistic leanings and beliefs.  In all honesty this country doesn’t have a revenue problem, it has a spending problem on totally stupid stuff, easy to find, just read the bills.  As far as corporate taxes, I’ve owned companies and I had a target of the margin that I needed to make in order to not only fund my lifestyle of my choosing but to employ a number of workers that was given the opportunity to have a better lifestyle as well.  When the cost for my companies operations go up I had a number of options in order to maintain my margins.  I could cut the quality of my service or goods, not an option if I wanted to stay in business.  I could raise my prices but that too would probably cost me business as well and I would have to make further cuts.  For a business with employees the payroll expense is usually the largest line item and the easiest to cut!  So I make the most logical decision that is in the best interest of my company and lay off one employee to offset my increased expense.

So I have to ask, how was this fair?  Am I greedy because I expect to make a certain amount of margin to maintain my lifestyle, after all it was my sweat and equity that built my company?  I’m still employing 9 other people that have been able to maintain their lifestyle but now there is one person whose lifestyle has been completely destroyed because .gov raised my cost of running my company.  Is this considered fair, I think not, but it is simple economics 101.

One may discuss our glorious GDP and wonder how we could have people living in poverty and crumbling infrastructure?  It’s actually all by design courtesy of the Deep State.  How do you control a population of our size and gain more power?  Perpetual wars…. WWII was our very last necessary war, the rest have been about controlling the populace and keeping people “poor”…. Just in my lifetime if .gov had not perpetuated endless wars that have cost us trillions and trillions of dollars and instead invested just a portion of that money back in to our country we truly would be the Utopia that we should be!  They learned how to control and impoverish people while enriching themselves with more money and more power.  I’ve been to Japan and their infrastructure is second to none, why you might ask?  How many stupid wars have they fought since WWII…

The industrial Revolution made this country prosperous and the notion of “fairness” will destroy us from within!  Socialism and Communism have tried to sell their “fairness” to the simple minded in order to control them and have failed each time costing millions of lives and lost fortunes.

Two years ago, many of us were prepping for different reasons.  I am guessing we all had somewhat different scenarios  playing in our minds.  Everyone knew we would need food and water, along with home protection.  We all stored medical items to different degrees; some had supplies in case of shooting, stop the bleeding, disinfect, etc.  Some bought stitches, pain killers, Vicks...The list goes on.  How many of us prepared for a Pandemic?  We know we were long over-due for one, just like in the case of solar flares.  How many of us had N-95 masks?  Why am I bringing this up now, when we know that Fauchi was a flake?  Because the next serious outcome to take this country down, may sneak up behinds us and bite us in the butt.  Yes, I think inflation will continue, for all the reasons Benny and many major economists have stated.  But it looks like we are going to get kicked over the goal post with the distruction of the dollar.  Over 50 years ago, Henry Kissinger did something that was just plain brilliant.  He went to Saudi Arabia and said that if they would price all their oil sales in U.S. dollars, we will protect you.  For fifty years, this has worked for us and kept the U.S. dollar stronger than it ever would have been.  This was, in my opinion Nixon's one smart move, during his short term.  So, let's move ahead to the here and now.  The Saudi's are now thinking very strongly about turning to Russia for protection.  In fact, they are saying it out loud.  When this happens in Eastern countries, it is very often a done deal.  Further de-dollarization is taking place thanks to  the BRICS nations. Saudi's are wanting to join them.  As Klaus Schwab has stated all that is happening in simple terms "All it would take is to put an end to the petro dollar".  We have been holding gold for other counties, as we were the safe haven.  Now many are sending our dollars back and want their gold.  There are two big events happening here at the same time and it is very complicated.  Strong indicators are showing that the East is going to chop the west off at their knees, by using different currencies for fuel, not the least of which is the Yuan.
If this doesn't rock your boat a little bit. How about Trump supporters finding armed F.B.I.
agents at their doors?  What about the arrest of the woman who drew up the permit for the rally at the Capitol?  Want to buy a gun?  Don't use your credit card.  There is something in the works to register family gardens, to turn them into victory type gardens.  Some stores are having people fill out forms when they buy poultry, happened to several in the past week at certain  T.S. stores, according to people involved.  This was reported by the source, so I can not verify it.  The left has declared war against anyone that does not support their ideas.  I just don't know what else could go wrong, but this looks like the perfect storm....for real
As often is said "Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how did you like the play?"

Yes Abigayle,  You should register your community garden, or your poultry!!  Get with it ..... The USDA wants to know where each community garden is in the US.  Why?

FIXIT, I will check with my friends that live in Panama and see what I can find out.  It may be tomorrow, since it is late.  They may need to check with other friends in the city as we were all up in the highlands.  You may find something before I do.

FixIt, an old cruise ship was not positioned correctly went the side trains put in in one of the new locks and began to lower it.  The ship was damaged, but is still sea worthy.  Some of my friends from the high country have a place in Panama now as well.  On Facebook, there are lots of dining out and party pictures, no mention of any issues.  One of the men is a writer and reports on such matters.  He did not mention it on his Facebook today or yesterday, so I would say it is nothing major.  It is a new lock, so I suppose if it didn't fill correctly that could be an issue.  I will check with friends tomorrow at a better hour.
