Need advice on 2 crushed cars

During the tornado in January two of my cars were damaged and can no longer be of any use. 😢
My friendly UPS man wanted to purchase them both for $300. I don’t know who/how to really dispose of them.
Is that a fair price or can someone here offer a better solution?

assuming that you are not going to part them out yourself and just want them gone, thats probably not a bad deal for you


the scrap price for cars goes up and down honestly I dont know where it is right now
you can call a local junk yard, tell them what you have and see what they offer

they pay much less if they have to tow, they pay more if you tow the junk to them

it depends on what parts are still good and how much work you're willing to do.
engines and transmissions might still be good and would be worth more money but require more work to salvage

You can expect 300 a piece if a junk yard has to come get them typically in any shape. If the motor and transmissions are in them and not cracked they will give you more. Thats my experience, sorry you lost em but glad youll be getting everything back to normal.
