The 2023 Annual Fall Camp out - October 5 - October 8 at Cedar Creek WMA. If you wish to arrive on Thursday the 5th, you'll have plenty of company for the extra day. If you can't camp with us, come down for the day trip. Most planned activities will be concentrated on Saturday.

Cedar Creek is located south of Monticello on GA Hwy 212. Our camp site is across from the Check Station (N 30* 13' 45.1 W 83* 31' 36.1) on Checking Station Road. If Googling, google Cedar Creek Check Station or you might get directions to the range which is a different road off 212.

Specifically, here: https://goo.gl/maps/jKXeHv1JbKm The campground is on the opposite side of the gravel road from the Checking Station on the map, and just a hair BEFORE it. The path into the woods is subtle and some would say hard to see, but accommodates the largest of RVs. If you drive fully up TO the Checking Station, you've gone too far. HOPEFULLY there will be a yellow banner out by Thursday afternoon marking the turn.

Start picking out your auction item donations! The Saturday evening donation auction is a highlight of the event and our only source of income, and everything goes back in to SEPN 100%. It pays for the domain and the website. Last 2 years we were able to subsidize the Christmas party for all attendees, and this year there's even more. specifically...

No camping fee: SEPN is picking up the bill for Port-A-Potties this year. No GORP/WMA pass is required at this site

Activities: No classes or formal events planned yet. Hopefully that will change before the event.

I am planning to attend this year. I値l go ahead and reserve a good camper so Mrs. Surveyor doesn稚 have to climb through a window to unlock the door on a broken rental (she was the only one that would fit through the window and I sure was glad she was able to get it open).

It looks like we will have 4 people coming in two tents. We are still not sure what day we will arrive. We are looking forward to seeing a big crowd this time.

That bring up a good point. I've retired and closed my business, so I can't take cards at the auction anymore. check or cash only. Also we need to find someone to take over as the bank.

Who all is planning to be there?

I知 thinking I値l get there Thursday around noonish or so. At least that痴 the current plan.

If I知 able (no guarantees) I may try to get up there the weekend before to knock down some of that tall grass with the mower.

I plan to be there along with my wife. We are still discussing the arrival time/date, but I am hoping it will be Thursday afternoon. In addition, my son +1 plan to come in Friday evening after he gets off work. That will make four of us.

Don't forget your auction items! We have been collecting several to bring this fall.
