Hello to all SEPN Georgia and Georgia Region 6 members!
Hoping that you all are doing well and still have your "GAME ON" as far as your "preps" go for you and your family! LOTS of happenings and situations still appear to be rapidly changing and evolving right now, so best to keep your head on a swivel and STAY VIGILANT!
We here in Region 6 got our Georgia springtime season off to a
GREAT start and everything seems to be really "blooming out" now, including our March meeting! Our meeting topic was entitled:
"Controlling the Bleed - Part 2: Emergency Wound Care Treatment and Management of Various Types of Possible Traumatic Wounds that You Can Manage Until Medical Assistance Arrives.”This meeting was noted to be the
BEST ATTENDED Region 6 monthly meeting thus far (20 folks by my count) and the active participation and interaction from folks in attendance was
OUTSTANDING!!! Everyone did GREAT with the "hands on" part!
This presentation was led by one of our paramedic supervisor members here in Region 6. He most definitely knows all about traumatic wounds and immediate care, and his stories that he shared with us about trauma scenes and calls he has had to work over the years were absolutely AMAZING! He put on one PROFESSIONAL and VERY INFORMATIVE session on this very complex and daunting topic!
Our presenter made this subject and demonstration of various techniques for immediate trauma care very easy to understand for the "non-medical" folks amongst us, and for that we are all very grateful! This old Mental Health R.N. DEFINITELY learned several "new tricks" for immediate trauma care as well!

As I have mentioned in many past posts here concerning the Georgia Region 6 monthly meetings, we are so VERY BLESSED to have such GREAT active members and participants. All of our members are an “exceptional wealth of knowledge” and are “true experts” on a very wide variety of preparedness topics – BAR NONE! It's YOU, Region 6 members, that make our monthly meetings what they are! THANK-YOU!
We all have been TRULY BLESSED to have such a WONDERFUL place here at Uncle Sam’s Surplus to hold our monthly meetings! The staff at USS have always provided EXCELLENT SUPPORT for our SEPN Georgia Region 6 meetings. They have gone “above and beyond the call of duty” to assist us in any way concerning our meeting needs with any equipment or class presentation items in their stock for our use! They are without a doubt #1 in customer service!
